Azikwe Ltd. was established in 2005 as a new player in the board and card game industry. For the past five years we have developed, and prided ourselves on making, games that are unique and innovative for various ages. But also during that time, we also achieved great success in making educational trading cards with a purpose. We loved creating trading cards so much that we have decided for 2010 to come out with numerous exclusive sets. We won't stop making games - another division will soon be launched to handle our gaming properties. Trading cards were once considered a dying medium, just as board games were back in the 90s. With the exception of CCG (collectible card games), standard sports cards were decreasing in sales. But this doesn't mean trading cards can't be used beyond just sports and mythical monsters. Just like board games, trading cards are now rebounding and innovative thinking can redefine the idea of what a trading card can represent! In 2005 to 2007, Azikwe Ltd. created The Official Black History Trading Card Series. This landmark set featured numerous legends in Black History from around the world and won critical acclaim. From the Miami Times to the Toronto Star, this new form of trading card set opened the door to the idea of publishing collectible, yet educational, trading cards. It is our mission to become an industry leader in developing and marketing collectible trading card sets that can open minds to history and world issues while aiding a greater purpose. You will see that many of the sets offered are vehicles for fundraising. We want to do our part in making a difference in our community and in the world by donating a portion of sales to not-for-profit agencies that help others and by doing this; we can all feel united in doing something to make this world a better place. Beyond trading cards, company founder Luanga A. Nuwame also enjoys the virtues of You Tube and has launched the award winning Homemade Game Guru channel. This popular channel showcases how to make fun and simple toy concepts from home with everyday materials. If you have cardboard and some tape, he will show you how to make something special. Azikwe Ltd. and Mr. Nuwame created the world's largest handmade wood board game and launched it on October 18th, 2009 at the Mississauga based Vic Johnston Community Centre. History was made and we were proud to make it happen. 2010 is here and we hope to provide all our customers with a great experience through all our products and initiatives. Thank you for your visit and please do not hesitate to provide your feedback. |
